The 3-day EuroSPI / ASA Certified Functional Safety Engineer Course is designed specifically for providing the knowledge and skills in ISO 26262, actively participating in case studies and elaborating a safety case based on your own product. The course is based on the latest revisions of the ISO26262 norm and practical experiences from the SOQRATES working group (leading Tier 1) concerning state of the art safety design patterns.

The course contains a mixture of lectures and practical exercises. Students learn to implement ISO26262 based on a case study. This course is based on cases ISO26262 studies and assessment exercises.
This is a 3-day course, held by a EuroSPI/ASA certified instructor and expert member of the EuroSPI Academy. To receive a certificate, a set of mandatory exercises under observation of the trainer is performed in the course.
The course is held with ECTS at master level at TU Graz and offered online and onsite in inhouse trainings through the EuroSPI academy to industry.

The following job roles are part of the target group: Safety Manager, Quality Manager, System- and SW Architects, project leaders, experienced engineers who are confronted with functional safety design. Safety decisions and design require a background in hardware/electronics and/or software engineering. Also experience with mechatronics is helpful. Usually attendees require some minimum 5 years work experience in automotive software or hardware to easily manage the course exercises.
The price includes a certificate recognised by automotive industry, and costs every 2 years 150 Euro.
